Meet the Founder.
I'm a collector, a Pokémon TCG player, an engineer and someone who has always needed to be making something. InProgress grew from that mix of collecting, curiosity and design — and from wanting to build something I could genuinely be proud to put in the hands of other collectors.
- Collector at heart — Pokémon has been part of my life as both a collection and a game.
- Built by curiosity — engineering, design and making have always been how I explore ideas.
- Something personal — InProgress isn't separate from my hobbies. It grew directly from them.
Collector First.
For me, collecting has never just been about value. It's the card you chased, the pull you remember, the deck you built around a favourite Pokémon, or the slab that represents a moment in the hobby. Those connections are what make a collection yours.
- I collect — from cards I love visually to pieces with memories attached to them.
- I play — the TCG gives me another connection to the cards beyond simply owning them.
- I understand the attachment — sometimes your favourite card isn't your most expensive one.
Curiosity Has Always Been the Constant.
I've always moved between hobbies. I'll discover something, disappear down the rabbit hole, learn everything I can and inevitably start designing or making something for it. I used to think that meant I was always changing direction. Now I realise curiosity was the direction.
- Always learning — new hobbies usually become new skills, ideas and experiments.
- Always questioning — I'm rarely satisfied with “that's just how it's done.”
- Always making — CAD, 3D printing and prototyping give those ideas somewhere to go.
Something Bigger Than a Hobby.
I wanted to create somewhere all of those interests could belong. Not another short-lived project, but a brand that could move with me — combining collecting, engineering, creativity and whatever idea comes next. That became InProgress.

InProgress is being built around real life. I'm in my early thirties, a dad to two young children, have a very supportive partner and balance this alongside a full-time career. A lot of the work happens when the house gets quiet.
Late-night ideas, sketches and CAD after bedtime are fairly normal.
Made personally, the products you see have been designed, tested and refined by me.
Supported by family, none of this would be possible without the patience and encouragement of the people around me.
There isn't a huge studio or development team behind the scenes.
Right now, it's mostly one collector trying to build something other collectors will love.
